What you would be doing as a steel sales executive
You would own sales in an assigned territory, from finding new customers to collecting payment, and report on it along the way.
- Winning and keeping customers: find OEMs, manufacturers, fabricators, EPC contractors, traders and other industrial buyers through market visits, referrals and existing contacts. Set up meetings, present products, recommend the right steel product, prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and keep visiting existing customers for repeat orders and to resolve concerns with internal teams.
- Products, orders and payments: learn the specifications and uses of HR and CR coils and sheets, galvanized sheets and other steel products. Work with operations, logistics, warehouse and accounts teams on order confirmation, dispatch, delivery updates and overdue payments, and watch customer credit limits.
- Targets, market watch and reporting: work towards monthly and quarterly targets with territory-wise plans and a healthy pipeline. Track steel prices and competitor activity, share market feedback with management, and log interactions, quotations and leads in Zoho CRM, with daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
