How to get ready before you apply
- Practise explaining something complex, like a course or a fee structure, in simple spoken English and then in Hindi. Counselling depends on this.
- Prepare a short story from college, an internship or a part-time job where you convinced someone or helped them decide. It shows persuasion and listening together.
- It helps to be ready for a mock call: listen first, ask what the student wants, then recommend.
- Think about how you would keep track of many follow-ups, and be ready to describe a simple method you have used.
- Be honest about targets. Say how you handle pressure and what you would learn from a missed number.
