Sales Support Executive

The job is about keeping the sales team supported and keeping customers, dealers and other internal departments in step with each other. Eight duties are named:

• Back the sales team with everyday support.
• Liaise with dealers and customers on order status and delivery.
• Draw up quotations, sales orders and reports, along with related paperwork.
• Chase outstanding orders, dues and customer enquiries.
• Work alongside dispatch, accounts and other departments.
• Keep sales records current and enter customer details into the system.
• Respond to customer questions and keep them updated on time.
• Compile sales reports each day and each month when asked.

The range is 0 to 3 years of experience, so freshers and early-career candidates fit within it. The workplace is in Malad (West), Mumbai, and the role is onsite. The skills sought are:

• Clear communication and the ability to coordinate with others
• Basic familiarity with Excel and the wider MS Office suite
• A habit of following up and staying organised
• Juggling several tasks while meeting deadlines
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Care with detail and a positive attitude

Prior work with dealers or distributors counts in your favour, but it is not compulsory.

• Practise making a simple quotation and a sales summary sheet in Excel, since paperwork and reports make up much of the duty list.
• Prepare one example of chasing something until it was resolved, from a college event, internship or earlier job. Follow-up comes up repeatedly in the duties.
• Be ready to describe how you track several tasks and deadlines together.
• If you have ever dealt with dealers, distributors or suppliers, even briefly, put it clearly on your resume.
• Proofread your resume carefully, because accuracy with detail is one of the qualities sought.
