Sales - Digitalization & IoT Solutions Internship
This is a sales internship at Datanimics in Bangalore, where you would help sell digitalization and IoT software to heavy-industry plants. It is on-site for 3 months, has 4 openings and pays ₹8,000 to ₹12,000 a month.
What you would be selling, and how
The post presents this as a way to learn how technical software is sold to industrial plants. Each intern gets personal target accounts and personal numbers. The aim is to win meetings and demos for the senior team.
- Build a prospect list. Look up steel, cement and similar plants, and identify contacts in purchase, production, IT, maintenance and automation.
- Approach prospects by phone, email, LinkedIn and face-to-face meetings, and talk about the technical products on offer.
- Work with senior management and the technical team to schedule customer conversations and demos. You study the products so that you can present them yourself.
- Talk to customers to learn how their plants run, what worries them, what they can spend, their timelines and how they make decisions. Then recommend a fitting technical solution.
- Draft proposals with input from the technical and management teams, setting out scope, technical detail, price and commercial terms.
- After each demo, meeting or proposal, follow up, answer questions and objections, and help senior management close orders.
- Log every lead, contact and follow-up in the CRM or a sales tracker.
- Plan your sales activity and targets week by week and month by month.
- Keep the pipeline and the forecast up to date.
Who can apply and what to have ready
The post's eligibility list limits applicants to Electronics Engineering students. Elsewhere it widens the field: students in their final year or recent graduates from Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical engineering, or MBA/BBA candidates focused on sales or marketing.
- Strong English, both spoken and written. Hindi and Kannada add value.
- Ease with approaching senior people, and the persistence to carry on after a refusal.
- Self-motivation and organisation: you plan your own weeks, run your own pipeline and keep following up.
- Presence in Bangalore, in the office, full time through the whole 3 months, with a start date between 19 Oct 2026 and 23 Nov 2026.
- Willingness to make short trips to customer sites.
Perks listed are a certificate and a five-day week.
How the stipend compares
The stipend is ₹8,000 to ₹12,000 a month, which is well below typical for internships in the same field in Bangalore. Weigh that against the learning and your living costs in the city.

How to stand out for a technical sales internship
- Read up on what industrial software and IoT do for a steel or cement plant. It helps to explain in simple words what problem such software solves.
- Practise a short, clear pitch for a cold call or email. Roles like this reward people who can start a conversation with a senior stranger.
- Get comfortable with a basic tracker, even a spreadsheet, so you can show you keep leads and follow-ups tidy.
- Have a real story ready about a time you kept going after being turned down.
- Know your own subject well. If you come from an engineering branch, be ready to discuss the technical side without fumbling.
