Operations Internship
This is a six-month operations internship at ESSI Integrated in Delhi, working on tenders collected by the company's own platform. It pays ₹20,000 to ₹22,000 a month and converts to a full-time role at Rs 3.6 to 4 lakh a year after the six months.
Stipend against the local market
The stipend of ₹20,000 to ₹22,000 a month sits above typical for internships in the same field in Delhi. Conversion after six months is stated at Rs 3.6 to 4 lakh a year, so the pay path is visible from the start.
What you would handle on the tender desk
ESSI runs its own tender intelligence platform, which pulls in new tenders from more than fifty government portals, downloads the documents and logs changes made by buyers. The intern is the person who operates it and makes the decisions. Each day you check new tenders for scope, eligibility and EMD, then note a bid or no-bid call along with the reason. You also go through corrigenda daily and judge whether a buyer's change to dates, documents, scope or conditions alters that call.
For tenders the company decides to pursue, you read the documents and extract the binding terms: eligibility, turnover and experience thresholds, required certifications, the EMD amount and mode, and every date, including the pre-bid query window. You keep each live bid's record up to date on the platform with its owner, status, open questions, pending documents and next deadline. You also prepare a compliance checklist per bid and follow each item through to submission with the bid team.
The job also covers upkeep and reporting. You watch for portals that return no results, stalled document downloads and searches that should be running, and you report whatever breaks. Once a result is out, you log the bidders, their prices and the stage at which rejected bidders were dropped. Each day ends with a short summary of intake, decisions, closing deadlines and stuck items, and you alert leadership early when a bid is at risk.

How to prepare for a tender-operations role
- If you have touched GeM, CPPP or any tender portal, even for a college project, say so plainly in your answers and describe what you did.
- Practise reading a long PDF and writing a three-line summary of its conditions. It helps to pick out thresholds, dates and certifications first.
- Brush up on MS-Excel and MS-Word. Trackers, checklists and daily summaries all depend on clean tables and clear writing.
- When you answer, give a decision and a reason. A bid or no-bid call is only useful if you can explain it.
- Prepare an example of flagging a problem early, such as a missed deadline you caught or raised in time.
