Junior IT Engineer

You would be the first line of IT help for both the factory floor and the office areas. The job covers installing, configuring and repairing Windows 10/11 computers and the accessories around them, such as monitors, printers and scanners. Faults in hardware, the operating system, drivers, applications, Microsoft Office and other business software come to you first. You would also prepare machines with approved software for new joiners and help with onboarding, access changes and offboarding where you are authorised. Users in production, engineering, HR, finance and other functions are supported in person and remotely.

On the network side, you would troubleshoot wired, wireless and internet connectivity, including TCP/IP problems, and help check switches, access points and cabling. When engineering teams need LAN links for CNC machines or other plant equipment, you coordinate with them, but machine and industrial-control settings stay untouched unless someone authorises a change. Questions on Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive, account access and password resets are handled according to company procedure. Basic endpoint-security checks, and making sure approved Windows, application and antivirus updates are installed, also fall to you.

A good part of the job is record keeping and follow-up. Help desk tickets are written up with the issue, the action taken, the status and the resolution. You would maintain an inventory of computers, printers, network devices, accessories, software licences and warranty or AMC details, and chase hardware, software and network vendors on service calls, repairs and warranty cases. When needed, you assist with CCTV, biometric and access-control systems and hand specialist problems to the responsible vendor or team. IT security, data protection, asset handling and safety rules apply, and anything suspicious is to be reported quickly. The role reports to the IT Manager or IT Head.

The educational bar is a diploma, ITI or degree (BCA, B.Sc., B.Tech or B.E.) in computer science, IT, computer applications, electronics and communication, or a related technical stream. Experience of fresher level up to 3 years is suitable, and fresher applicants are fine if their hands-on knowledge is solid. The job is based at Tunikibollaram, Hyderabad.

• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, the parts inside desktops and laptops, and standard troubleshooting approaches
• Networking basics: DHCP, DNS, IP addressing and switches, plus LAN, Wi-Fi and TCP/IP fault-finding
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and 365, email, printers and scanners
• Basic awareness of antivirus, endpoint security, updates and safe IT habits
• Problem-solving, documentation, communication and user-support skills

Extra points go to candidates who know Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID or Active Directory, CCNA-level networking, ticketing and asset or licence tracking, or who have seen a manufacturing setting, CNC connectivity, CCTV or biometric and access-control systems. You should be willing to support people on the plant floor as well as in offices, work alone on routine tasks, and escalate what is beyond your access or expertise.

• Go over common Windows 10/11 faults, such as driver trouble, printer errors and user account lockouts, and practise explaining your fix step by step.
• Be ready to describe how you would trace a connectivity fault, starting at the user's device and moving towards the switch, using what you know of DNS, DHCP and IP addressing.
• If you have built a home network, set up a college lab or repaired a friend's laptop, prepare a short account of what you did. Hands-on examples help a fresher.
• Practise writing a brief ticket note: the problem, what you tried and the outcome. This role depends on tidy records.
• Keep one example ready of a time you passed a problem upward because it was outside your permission or skill, since the work involves staying within authorisation.
