Data Analyst Internship

The internship is hands-on analysis work, moving from raw data to findings you can explain clearly.

• Working with data: collect and organise data, write SQL queries to pull and transform it, and use Python, R and Excel to prepare and interpret it. You would also look into inconsistencies in the data and work out possible causes.
• Analysis and models: apply statistics and quantitative analysis to spot trends and relationships, and support Machine Learning and A/B Testing work by preparing datasets and reviewing outcomes.
• Reporting: build dashboards in Microsoft Power BI and Tableau, turn findings into insights with business sense, and document your process and recommendations in written reports and in conversation.

• Practise SQL on a small dataset: filtering, joining and transforming, so you can talk through a query you wrote.
• Build one dashboard in Power BI or Tableau and be ready to explain what it shows and why you chose those charts.
• Keep a short sample report with a finding, a likely cause and a recommendation. This shows the documentation skill the posting mentions.
• Refresh basic statistics, such as trends and relationships between variables, so you can explain them in plain words.
• Practise describing a data problem aloud in a minute or two, since spoken communication is on the list.
