Data Analyst Internship

Most of your time goes into getting data into shape. You will gather figures from different places, tidy and arrange them, and check them for errors. In Excel, you will build summaries, pivot tables and charts, along with reports that come round on a regular basis.

You will also write SQL queries against databases to fetch records, narrow them down, combine tables and work out totals. With the data ready, you will go through the datasets looking for patterns, mismatches and insights worth sharing.

You will help put together dashboards, presentations and recommendations backed by data. You will also write down how you carried out each analysis and explain what you found to stakeholders. The internship is fully remote and you work with a distributed team.

You do not need any earlier work experience. Analytics projects from your coursework, or practice work you did on your own, are welcome.

• Genuine interest in analysing data, reporting and solving business problems
• A working grasp of Excel and SQL
• Ease with numbers, an organised way of thinking and an eye for detail
• The ability to pick things up fast, handle your own tasks and work well with others while remote

The internship lasts three months, and applications close on 2 Nov 2026.

• Take a small dataset, clean it in Excel, then build a pivot table and a chart from it. Keep the file so you can show your steps.
• Practise SQL queries that filter, join and summarise data across two or more tables, and be ready to talk through each step.
• Write a short note on one project covering what you found and what you would recommend. Explaining results clearly is part of this role.
• Because the work is remote, it helps to show you can manage your own time, for example by describing a project you finished without close supervision.
