Business Analyst Internship

Much of the job is about capturing what the business needs. You would help gather and sort operational and business requirements and write them up. You would also look through workflows, reports and process data for trends and openings to improve how things run.

The second strand is reporting back. Expect to draft summaries, slide decks, process notes and progress updates for people inside the company, and to help keep the project paperwork correct.

You would also work with teams from different functions, following up on action items so projects stay on schedule, and take part in efforts to improve processes.

Final-year students and recent graduates can apply, provided they are drawn to business analysis and the IT-enabled services sector.

• Analytical thinking, clear communication, organisation and close attention to detail are expected.
• You should be at ease with spreadsheets and presentations, and willing to pick up unfamiliar business tools or systems.
• The role is a full-time commitment at the Perambur, Chennai office across all six months.

• It helps to have a small spreadsheet project ready to show, such as cleaning a dataset and writing down the trends you found.
• Practise turning messy information into a short, clear summary; this kind of role depends on it.
• Try writing a requirements note for a simple process you know, like a college event workflow, with clear steps and open questions.
• Be ready to explain how you follow up on pending tasks when several people are involved.
