• Content sense: awareness of social trends, reel formats, transitions and sound design, plus a feel for storytelling that keeps viewers watching.
• Working style: creativity, care with detail, and reliability in meeting deadlines.

• Put together a few short vertical videos that show a strong opening hook, tight pacing and subtitles. They map directly to what this role edits.
• Include at least one piece with motion graphics or animation made in After Effects, to show you can go beyond basic cuts.
• Make a couple of thumbnails or simple graphics in Photoshop and keep them alongside your videos.
• Practise turning one piece of raw footage into different versions for different platforms, and be ready to explain what you changed.
• Show you can work to a deadline, for example by timing yourself on a set edit and noting how you handled revision requests.
