What the internship involves
Most of the work is interface design in Figma for web and mobile apps. You take a screen from wireframe to high-fidelity design and then to a clickable prototype, working from user flows and briefs given by the product lead. You also build and maintain reusable components and styles in the studio's design system.
Two kinds of project work are named. One is designing app screens for an international client's mobile app aimed at the UK market. The other is making social media posts, ad creatives and simple marketing graphics for the studio's SaaS product, which targets North American businesses.
Beyond design, you prepare handoff files, check that the developed screens match what was designed, and keep Figma files organised and named as per studio guidelines.
