Market Research Internship

What you would work on
The core of the job is finding out how a market behaves. You would study industry trends, customer needs and openings for growth. You would also look at competitors: what they sell, how they price it, how they market it and where they sit in the market. Your data would come from online sources, surveys, interviews and industry reports.
You would help run customer surveys and collect feedback, and work out which customer groups exist and what they prefer. You would also keep watch on trends and new business openings, and help spot new markets, products and services worth pursuing.
The rest is turning research into something others can use. You would keep research data and databases in order, using Excel, Google Sheets and basic data analysis tools. You would write up findings, summaries and reports, and present your recommendations to the team. The marketing and business development teams are the ones you would support. Accuracy and proper documentation of the information are part of the brief.
