Data Operations Internship

The job is catalogue upkeep for tiles, laminates, panels, flooring and wallpapers, split across data entry, quality control and coordination.

• Listings: gather details from vendor catalogues, spreadsheets and internal systems, then create and update listings with titles, descriptions, specifications, prices and images. You check attributes such as size, finish, material, colour, brand, product code and application area, and keep naming and category rules consistent.
• Quality checks: tidy data for bulk uploads, spot duplicates, gaps, mixed formats and wrong categories, and compare images, dimensions and codes with what vendors supplied. Listings get a final read for accuracy, grammar and formatting before they go live.
• Coordination and tracking: ask vendors for missing specifications, prices, catalogues and images, and chase corrections. You work with the category, design, operations and technology teams on onboarding, keep trackers in Google Sheets and Excel using formulas, lookups, pivot tables and validation checks, help with SQL-based checks and reporting depending on your skill, and suggest improvements to upload templates and repetitive steps.

Students and recent graduates can apply, and freshers are welcome. Prior full-time work experience is not needed, and relevant projects or internships count in your favour.

• You must be free for a full-time, in-office internship lasting 3 months.
• Your start date should fall between 16 Oct 2026 and 20 Nov 2026.
• You should be comfortable with sorting, filtering, formulas and lookups in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Basic SQL knowledge is asked for. Familiarity with Python or data automation is an added advantage.
• Attention to detail, an organised way of handling large datasets, good written communication and willingness to follow up with vendors and teams are all listed.
• You should be ready to learn new tools and own the tasks given to you.

The internship also carries a certificate and a letter of recommendation.

• Take a messy sample sheet, such as a product list with duplicates and mixed formats, and clean it using lookups, pivot tables and data validation. Keep it as a small portfolio piece.
• Practise basic SQL: selecting, filtering, counting and finding duplicate rows, since checks and reporting may use it.
• Write a few sample product listings with a clear title, specifications and consistent naming, and proofread them as if they were going live.
• Draft a short, polite follow-up message asking a vendor for missing details. Written clarity matters in this role.
• If you have used Python for tidying data, mention it briefly, as it counts as a plus.
