What you would be doing as an onboarding intern
The work centres on helping prospective students choose a program and enrol, then making sure they settle in once they have joined. It combines counselling, sales targets and record-keeping.
- Speak with prospective students to understand their educational goals, career interests and what they expect from learning, then recommend suitable programs.
- Own a set of assigned leads and engage them by phone, email and other channels, with regular follow-ups so each lead keeps moving towards enrolment.
- Explain program details, course benefits, pricing and career prospects, and answer queries so students can decide with confidence.
- Work towards assigned admission and revenue targets and contribute to the team's overall goals.
- Stay in touch with enrolled students, and work with Operations, Product, Training and Support teams to resolve onboarding needs and concerns after enrolment.
- Review feedback from prospective and enrolled students to spot common objections and shifts in demand, and share what you find to improve counselling and sales messaging.
- Keep organised records of conversations, follow-up schedules, lead progress and enrolment outcomes, and send regular performance updates to the reporting manager.
