Business Development Executive

LMES Academy is an EdTech company teaching STEM, coding, AI, robotics, early childhood learning and competitive exam prep. Your job is to meet parents and students on Google Meet, find out what the learner needs, and suggest a program that fits.

You handle a prospect from the first conversation to the moment they enroll. In between, you chase up through phone calls, email and video meetings, and deal with hesitations calmly. Enrollment targets come weekly, monthly and quarterly.

There is record-keeping too: every lead, conversation and follow-up goes into the CRM. You are also expected to keep track of the company's programs, market trends and competitor moves.

• A bachelor's degree is compulsory, in any stream. A science, electronics or engineering education gets preference.
• Strong spoken English is required, plus Hindi or Telugu on top of that.
• Freshers are fine. So are people with 0–2 years in business development, telecalling, counselling, inside sales or EdTech.
• The post asks for negotiation, persuasion, follow-up and relationship-building ability, and ease in virtual meetings.
• Basic comfort with CRM tools, Google Workspace and MS Office is preferred, not mandatory.

The job is full-time and in-office in Chennai. You work six days a week. Sunday is a working day, Thursday is the set day off, and hours may run longer when the business needs it.

• Practise explaining something technical, such as coding or robotics, to a parent in two minutes of plain spoken English. Clarity is most of this job.
• Prepare answers to common worries like price or time, and rehearse staying calm and polite while giving them.
• If you speak Hindi or Telugu, be ready to show it in conversation, since the posting asks for it.
• Spend an hour with any free CRM tool so you can say you have used one and understand why tidy records matter.
• Do a mock call on Google Meet to check your audio, camera and how you come across on screen.
