What you'd be working on

  • Build and fix: help design and implement agents for different uses, then test and debug them against the quality and performance targets, and help tune the underlying algorithms for efficiency and scalability.
  • Connect: support the work of fitting agents into software systems and platforms that already exist.
  • Research and discuss: look into newer AI algorithms and technologies, follow developments in AI, and bring ideas to team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Ways to get noticed

  • It helps to have something small you've built with LangChain or a similar framework, even a basic agent, that you can explain from start to finish.
  • Try judging an LLM's output on purpose. Write a few test cases, note where it fails and what you changed. That speaks directly to LLM evaluation.
  • Be ready to say how you'd debug an agent that gives wrong answers, since testing and debugging is part of the job.
  • Pick one of Python, Java or TypeScript and be comfortable showing code in it.
  • Keep a few recent AI developments you've actually read about in mind. The role involves staying current.
